Stem Cell Therapy Information

Korea is the leading country for stem cell treatments. Yeppeun Skin Clinic uses advanced technology from Korea for autologous blood stem cell therapy. Our professionally trained staff extracts your blood using a special needle and extraction technique. The blood sample is then processed and placed inside the Smart M-Cell machine along with growth factors and other key components. This produces up to 600-800 million viable stem cells. It also produces viable plasma. It is important to note the stem cells and plasma are not the same things. Plasma cells (Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP) are cells that send signals to your body to improve functions such as repair. Stem Cells are living, unspecialized cells that can adapt to become the type of cell that your body needs to improve. You can think of it like PRP cells are calling over the phone to try to fix problems while Stem Cells are on-site, in person, doing the work themselves. Stem Cells have more healing power then plasma cells.

A comparison chart shows the four stages of skin healing, haemostatic barrier, inflammation, tissue regeneration and tissue remodelling, with the SMART M-CELL timeline appearing shorter than natural healing.

The Stem Cells are then re-introduced into your body through an IV Drip. For most people, the effects of the introduction of Stem Cells are seen from day 1. You normally sleep very well that night. From the next morning, any fog in your head clears and your thinking speed improves. The cells will work their way through your system and slowly heal what they find. In essence, you become younger internally and also look younger on the outside.

An illustrated diagram shows a hematopoietic stem cell branching into platelets, red blood cells and white blood cells, with white blood cells further divided into neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils, monocytes and lymphocytes, and lymphocytes into NK, B and T cells.

How Blood Cells Develop

Every blood cell in the body starts as a hematopoietic stem cell (CD34+). These stem cells develop into three main groups:

  • Platelets help the blood clot and start the repair of injured tissue.
  • Erythrocytes (red blood cells) carry oxygen to every part of the body.
  • Leukocytes (white blood cells) protect the body and support healing.

White blood cells divide further into neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils, monocytes and lymphocytes. Lymphocytes then become NK cells, B cells and T cells, which form a key part of the immune system.

Stem Cell Collecting Technology

Our body has a natural healing ability but the power of cells is necessary. If we can collect stem cells to be dispersed throughout the body and place them where healing is needed, the healing process will be shortened.

Our technology is to extract living stem cells and growth factors specialized for regeneration and offer the safest autologous stem cell therapy in the world.

Five labelled panels show the key components of a stem cell concentrate: stem cells under a microscope, a growth factor molecule, a white blood cell among red blood cells, an activated platelet and an SDF-1α protein structure.

Stem Cell Therapy Types

For most people, there are 3 commonly available types of Stem Cell Therapy: Autologous Blood, Adipose Derived and Umbelica Cord Blood. Autologous Blood Stem Cell is the most accessible type since it comes from you own blood, can be done in one visit and has a lower price point. The equipment used for Stem Cell Therapy is Korean FDA, American FDA, Europe CE and UAE approved. Adipose Derived Stem Cell usually requires fat to be extracted via liposuction, processing to be done which can take up to one month, then reinjection via an IV drip to occur. If is more effective than Autologous Blood Stem Cell but is often 5-10 times more expensive. Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cell is the most power of these options but it is also the one with the highest price point and the highest risk. Because it does not come from your own body, you must take a detailed, full medical exam to ensure you have no growths such as cancer cells in your body. Because it is so powerful, it can cause existing tumors and growths to get larger. Because of this, this type of treatment is not for everyone. Autologous Stem does not carry a risk of cell mutation, is relatively affordable, is effective and is the easiest option for most people to do.

Smart Separation Technology

The SMART M-CELL kit helps stem cells move to the area that needs repair and supports their growth there, by separating and concentrating the right cells.

1. Isolation valve
The patented isolation valve is designed to measure the density of cells in the blood and bone marrow. This helps prevent damage from friction between cells and keeps them inactive until treatment.

2. Separated structure
Red blood cells and stem cells are kept in separate spaces, which reduces cell damage.

3. Rounded structure
The rounded shape is designed to avoid losing or wasting the cells used for treatment.

Because blood and bone marrow have different densities of nucleated cells, a specially designed isolation valve for each type allows accurate separation and concentration of these cells.

A clear cell separation kit with two chambers shows blood separated into layers, with numbered markers pointing to each stage of the cell concentration process, beside the Yeppeun Skin Clinic logo.
