How It Works

Yeppeun Skin Clinic’s Daily Glow Diatomaceous Earth Modelling Mask systems hit differently. We use techniques developed in Korea to create a cocktail of happiness and purity inside of our masks. We start by hand mixing medical grade diatomaceous earth. This is a natural ingredient comprised of fossilized organic materials, mostly fossilized algae. It is made up of between 87%-94% of amorphous silicon dioxide which is typically known as silica. It is combined with a medical grade seaweed & brown algae extract called algin and also contains iron oxide and other natural minerals. It feels a lot like powder or flower before it is mixed.

The mask creates a rubber like skin barrier as it dries, forcing the ingredients in the mask to be fully absorbed into the skin without loss to evaporation. On a microscopic scale, medical grade diatomaceous earth has jagged edges which when combined with the rest or our ingredients, removes particles and imperfections as the hardened, rubber like mask is removed. We add different types of ingredients depending on exactly what your skin type needs. Ingredients that may be added can be Exosomes, PDRN, Vitamins, Stem Cell Media etc. It goes on wet and dries before it is peeled off. It is very relaxing and leaves you feeling fresh and glowing.

Treatment Plans

Yeppeun Skin Clinic’s Daily Glow Diatomaceous Earth Modelling Mask can be done in isolation if you need a quick pick me up or skin glow. It is extremely popular when people have events that are coming up on the day of treatment or the following day.  It is also used as part of other treatments, especially at the end of treatments that leave the skin slightly red or sensitive as it helps to calm the skin. You can add this to any treatment and you will enjoy the glow. 

The mixture of ingredients will dry into a rubber like substance that creates a temporary skin barrier vacuum effect. This seals in the ingredients of the mask so they don’t evaporate, thus blocking airflow and forcing the ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin and be fully absorbed.

You will feel an instant sensation of cooling as the skin because deeply hydrated. Once the mask hardens fully, the removal of it takes away impurities from the skin. 

Number of Treatments Needed

Yeppeun’s Diatomaceous Earth Modelling Mask can be customized, hand-mixed and applied anytime you want. The majority of patients do this at least once per month and after most of their heavier treatments. There is no minimum or maximum number of times you can have this treatment. It can be done daily if needed.

Time Between Sessions

There is no minimum time between sessions for Yeppeun Skin Clinic’s Daily Glow Diatomaceous Earth Modelling Mask systems.

Recovery & Downtime

There is no recovery and downtime with this treatment. It does not leave your face red or damaged. This is why many patients do this treatment before important meetings and events.

Aftercare Instructions

There are no special aftercare instructions and you can wear make up immediately after treatment. It is always advised that follow a proper skin care routine consisting of at least a cleanser, toner, serum or ampoule, cream and sunscreen.

After the doctor analyzes your skin issues, the exact ingredients you need in your products will be recommended. Please ask the doctor for Korean products the clinic carries that match your specific concerns. If you have an important event coming up quickly, it is key not to use abrasive or exfoliating products. In general, products with the following ingredients are highly recommended:
