Treatment Information
Treatment Plans
Stitch removal is usually done on its own. However, if you have had the stitch removed and the original incision wasn’t done correctly, you may end up with a larger scar then you would prefer. We may be able to reduce the scarring effect with laser treatment (regular sessions) depending on the type of scar. If the scar is not suitable for laser treatment, then a plastic surgeon can re-incise the scar, stitch it properly and when it heals, the scar would be smaller.

You need only 1 visit to remove stitches.
Time Between Sessions
You only need to visit us once for this so there is no time between sessions.

Freaquently Ask Questions
Q: What are the most common types of stitches you remove?
A: We have a lot of patients who go for medical tourism in Korea and specifically for plastic surgery treatments as Seoul is the capital of cosmetic surgery in the world. Often, they return to UAE before their stitches are removed and come to us as we are experienced with stitch removal.
Q: Does stitch removal have any impact on scarring?
A: Usually not. What would have impacted the scarring would have been how the surgeon stitched your wound and how you took care of it afterwards. The only thing that would impact it in removal would be if it was removed to soon. It is up to you to make sure you tell us the exact timing your surgeon said for when you may remove the stitches. This is why it is best to have it professionally done because we can advise you if the time is right to remove the stitch or not.
Q: Do you remove in-mouth stitches?
A: No, for stitches in your mouth, please see a professionally licensed dentist.
