How It Works
If you would like the skin on your face and neck professionally cleansed, you will have this treatment done by one of our Korean educated beauty therapists (estheticians). Our beauty therapists have undergone training directly from their counterparts in our clinics in Korea who have come to Dubai to provide the training and training manuals. They have also been educated by our head Korean doctor and visiting Korean doctors from the top skin clinics in Seoul, Korea. Your professional cleansing includes a series of steps which are dependent on your specific skin type and condition. The goal is to remove the impurities from your face, exfoliate to open your pores, cleanse and then provide as much hydration and nutrition as possible using medical grade Korean products. If you have whiteheads, blackheads or acne (pimples), you can have these removed during treatment.
Treatment Plans
The exact type of professional cleansing you require will be determined by the doctor during your in-clinic consultation. 93% of our patients who undergo Professional Cleansing do so when they have outbreaks of acne, whiteheads, blackheads and overall poor skin health.
Number of Treatments Needed
Professional Cleansing of the face is done on a need basis but the most common programs are:
- Light and random poor skin health: on a need basis
- Mild but repeated outbreaks: once per month
- Severe and repeated outbreaks: once per month with weekly check ups if needed
Time Between Sessions
This type of treatment doesn’t have a set number of sessions required. Instead, it is done when you have outbreaks or feel like you want a deeper clean. If you get this treatment have more outbreaks, then you can come back for additional treatments and check-ups.
Recovery & Downtime
Professional Cleansing itself has zero downtime but if extraction of acne was done, your body will need time to heal. Some acne, whiteheads and blackheads have zero downtime and do not have excess pigmentation when extracted. More severe cases will have excess pigmentation which may take weeks to months to heal. This is why it is important to get treatment before pigmentation becomes an issue.
Aftercare Instructions
You can wear make-up one hour after treatment. It is important to follow a proper skin care routine consisting of at least a cleanser, toner, serum or ampoule, cream and sunscreen. Topical medical grade ointment or medication may be prescribed for those with severe acne issues. Try to wash your bedsheets and pillow cases every 3-4 days. Try to eat whole foods, reduce sugar intake and processed foods.

Q: Do you charge more if I have more acne, whiteheads and blackheads?
A: In most cases no, as we follow the Korean standard system. However, if it is a more serious case where there are major outbreaks which require a substantial more amount of resources, there may be an additional cost.
Q: Is Professional Cleansing enough to give me the Korean Glass Skin look?
A: No, this is a very basic treatment to cleanse your skin. In fact, we normally include this in other treatments such as our Hydrafacial and BB Shine packages. Although you will have your face cleaned and possible have extraction of whiteheads, blackheads and acne (pimples), this treatment will not give you that “chok chok” or “Korean Glass Skin” look.
Q: How often should I have my face professionally cleansed?
A: For most people, once a month is best. However, we highly recommend you come in for regular Korean Hydrafacial or BB Shine treatments as opposed to simple cleanses. 73% of our regular customers undergo this treatment once a month. However, you may undergo treatment: weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly or whenever you feel you need it.
