Aura Skin Analysis at our Dubai clinic takes close-up images of your face under controlled light. It picks up details that are hard to see with the naked eye, like early sun spots, redness and the real size of your pores. It analysis your skin in a scientifically objective way which helps you to choose which type of treatment is right for you. Additionally, once treatment is done, an additional scan directly show you the results of the treatment.

How It Works

You sit comfortably with your face in position, with your eyes closed. The system takes a series of photos under different types of light. Each type of light brings out different features. One shows surface texture and lines. Another shows pigment that sits a little deeper. Another shows redness and small visible blood vessels.

The software then maps these features across your face and turns them into an easy visual report. Our dermatologist will expertly take you through each part in plain language and explains what it means for your skin. Then you agree on a plan together.

Planning Your Skin Analysis in Dubai

Treatment Plans

Aura Skin Analysis is usually the first part of a consultation. Your results help us decide which treatments make sense for you, in which order, and which ones to skip. For example, if the images show that most of your concern is redness, a brightening treatment may not be the best place to start.

Number of Sessions

One analysis gives you a full starting picture. Many people choose to repeat it during or after a course of treatment to see how their skin is changing. We always take a scan once your are done the treatment and show you the result of what you did.

Time Between Sessions

We usually suggest repeating the analysis every 3 to 6 months, or after each treatment. Skin changes slowly, so scanning too often may not show dramatic changes but keeping a record of your progress is a good idea.

Alternatives

A face-to-face skin check. Our doctor can assess your skin by eye and touch during a consultation. It’s quick and useful, but it leaves no image record to compare against later.
Other skin imaging systems. Many clinics use similar camera systems. They all work in a similar way, but scores from different devices can’t be compared directly.
Dermoscopy by a dermatologist. This is a close-up check of individual moles and spots with a handheld magnifier. It is the right choice if you are worried about a specific mole or mark. Aura Skin Analysis does not replace it.

Investment Needed

This part of our consultation which is free of charge if you get any treatment or AED 150 if you only want the consultation. Please note that we do these scans and analysis free of charge for our existing patients.

Does Aura Skin Analysis hurt?

No. Nothing touches your skin. You simply sit still with your eyes closed while the photos are taken. Some people notice the flashes of light, but they are not uncomfortable.

Does the analysis diagnose skin conditions?

No. It is an imaging tool that helps with planning. It shows features like pores, redness and pigment, but it does not diagnose disease or check moles. If something worries you, our doctor can examine it, or we will advise you to see a dermatologist.

Can I wear make-up to my appointment?

It's best to come with clean, bare skin. Make-up, tinted sunscreen and heavy creams can hide or change what the camera sees. If you come straight from work, we can help you cleanse first.

How long does the appointment take?

The photos take only a moment. Most of your appointment is spent going through your results and your plan together. Allow around 30 to 45 minutes.

How often should I repeat it?

Every 3 to 6 months, or at the end of a treatment course. That gives your skin enough time to show real change.

Does it work on all skin tones?

Imaging is used on all skin tones. Some features, such as redness, can be harder to measure on deeper skin tones. That is why your skin expert always reads your report alongside a proper look at your skin, instead of relying on the scores alone.

Do I have to book a treatment afterwards?

No. You are free to take your plan home and think about it. Some people only change their home routine, and that's fine.

Is it safe if I am pregnant or have sensitive skin?

Nothing is applied to or injected into your skin, so sensitive skin is not a problem. If you are pregnant, tell us, so your plan only includes treatments that are suitable for pregnancy. If bright flashing light affects you, for example if you have light-sensitive epilepsy or migraines, please tell us before the photos are taken.

Can I keep a copy of my results?

Ask our team about a copy of your report. Your images are stored as part of your private clinic record and are only used for your care unless you give separate written consent.

Should I come if I have an active breakout or a fresh treatment?

Yes for a breakout, as it helps us see what is going on. If you have just had a peel, laser or a lot of sun, it's better to wait about a week, because irritated skin can make results look worse than usual.
