- Treatment. Your skin is cleansed and numbing cream is available. Some Belotero gels contain lidocaine.

Possible Side Effects and Risks
Common side effects include swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising and small lumps. The under-eye area can bruise more easily. These usually settle over the following days.
Less often, lumps, a bluish tint under thin skin or infection can happen. A rare but serious risk is filler blocking a blood vessel. Call us straight away if you notice severe pain, white, blue or dark patches, or any change in your vision.

Filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell us if you have an active skin infection, severe allergies, an allergy to lidocaine, or a bleeding condition, or if you take blood thinners.
