Is your skin looking tired, dry or a little dull, or has your hair started to feel thinner than it used to? Creams and shampoos only work on the surface, and some people want a treatment that reaches a bit deeper. Mesotherapy is one way to do this.
Mesotherapy is a technique, not a single product. Many tiny injections place very small amounts of a chosen product into the upper layers of the skin or scalp. The product might be hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids or, for hair, a medicine prescribed by our doctor.

For the scalp, mesotherapy aims to support thicker-looking hair in some types of hair loss, especially when it is part of a wider plan.
The treatment is quick, uses very fine needles and usually has little downtime. Because the product is placed right where it is needed, only small amounts are used. Results are gradual and temporary, so a course of sessions and later top-ups are usually needed.
Who Needs This
Facial mesotherapy can suit adults with dehydrated, dull or tired-looking skin, or early fine lines, who want a gentle boost rather than a big change. It is often used on the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Scalp mesotherapy can suit adults with early, gradual hair thinning, after the cause of the hair loss has been checked.
It is not the right choice for deep wrinkles, sagging skin or sudden, patchy hair loss. Sudden or patchy hair loss needs a medical check first, because it can have causes such as low iron, thyroid problems or autoimmune conditions. How It Works
After your skin is cleansed and numbed, our doctor uses a very fine needle, or a multi-needle device, to make many tiny, shallow injections. Each one places a small droplet of product into the upper dermis, the layer just under the surface. This spreads the product evenly across the area being treated.
Once in place, the product acts locally. Hyaluronic acid draws in water to support hydration, while vitamins and amino acids are thought to support the skin’s own repair. In the scalp, prescribed medicines act on the hair roots. Over several sessions, these small effects can build into a visible change for some people.
How Mesotherapy Works
Facial Mesotherapy
Facial mesotherapy usually uses a custom combination of ingredients in the same way we use them in Korea. Hyaluronic acid, sometimes with vitamins, amino acids or antioxidants can be used.
For hair, mesotherapy may use vitamin and amino acid blends, or medicines such as minoxidil or dutasteride that our doctor prescribes. This treatment works very well with Hyloox Multi Suction Injector as it spreads out the treatment in an even distribution and depth level and is often less painful than by hand injections.
Mesotherapy, Skin Boosters and Hycoox
Skin boosters and mesotherapy are close cousins. Both place small amounts of product into the skin. “Skin booster” usually means a branded, registered hyaluronic acid or polynucleotide products, while “mesotherapy” is the wider name for the technique. Why the Product and Clinic Matter
Mesotherapy should not be done in a salon or spa. It should only be done in a licensed clinic through a certified doctor. If done incorrectly, infections or other issues may arise. Fat-Dissolving Injections Are Different
Some clinics use the word “mesotherapy” for fat-dissolving injections. These are a different treatments. If you are interested in body contouring, Robolex Plus may be right for you. It is the most popular fat loss machine treatment in Korea.
Possible Side Effects and Risks
Most side effects are mild and short-lived. These include small red marks, bumps where the product sits, mild swelling, tenderness and small bruises, which usually settle within 1 to 3 days. Less often, there can be an allergic reaction, a flare of cold sores (if you are prone to them), lumps or infection. Scalp treatments can cause tenderness and, rarely, short-term shedding. Contact us if you notice growing pain, swelling, warm lumps or pus, even weeks after treatment.
Who Should Not Have It
Please do not book if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. We will also wait if you have an infection, cold sore or open wound in the area, or a flare of eczema, psoriasis or acne. Please tell us if you have a bleeding problem or take blood thinners. Also tell us about poorly controlled diabetes, an autoimmune condition or past allergic reactions. Some hair medicines are not suitable if you could become pregnant, so our doctor will check this with you.
Planning Your Mesotherapy in Dubai
Treatment Plans
Your plan starts with your goal and the right product for it. A plan for dull, dehydrated skin is different from a plan for hair thinning. For hair, we may suggest a blood test and combine mesotherapy with other treatments. We write the product name on your plan so you always know what is being used.
Number of Sessions
For the face, a first course is often 3 to 4 sessions. For the scalp, a course is often 4 to 6 sessions or more. After that, many people have maintenance sessions every few months. The exact number depends on the product and how your skin or scalp responds.
Time Between Sessions
Sessions are usually spaced about 2 to 4 weeks apart for a first course, depending on the product. Maintenance sessions are usually spaced further apart. Our doctor will set the timing that suits your plan.
In Combination With & Alternative Treatments
In Combination With
Facial mesotherapy can be combined with treatments such as LDM, LED Light Therapy or anti-wrinkle injections at separate visits. For hair, it is often combined with PRP, scalp care such as Hair Regeneration & Scalp Health, and medical treatment where needed.
Alternatives

Recovery & Downtime
Downtime is usually short. Small bumps and red dots are common on the day and tend to fade within 1 to 3 days. Small bruises can take up to a week. Most people go back to work the next day. Scalp treatments may leave the scalp tender for a day or two, and you can usually wash your hair the next day.
Aftercare Instructions
For the first 24 hours, keep the area clean, avoid make-up and don’t touch or rub the treated skin. Avoid hard exercise, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 24 to 48 hours. Avoid retinoids, acids and scrubs for about 3 days, and wear sunscreen every day. For scalp treatments, wait until the next day to wash your hair, and avoid hair dye or strong styling products for a few days.
Best Skin Product Ingredients for Aftercare
Keep your routine simple for a few days. A gentle cleanser, a fragrance-free moisturiser with ceramides, panthenol or plain hyaluronic acid, and a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 50 or higher are all you need. After scalp treatments, a mild, fragrance-free shampoo is best for the first few days.
